The Front Room Kilkenny

The Front Room Bar is Kilkenny’s newest public house, established in 2016 after extensive refurbishment of the old family home.

Starting off as a traditional bar incorporating everything that is loved in a traditional Irish public house. Throughout the years changes have been made, both inside and outside where we now incorporate a food option in conjunction with a local restaurant “Burger Factory”, outdoor seating in our POD garden and a popular live music venue.

We are now excited to introduce The Front Room Suites. These are newly refurbished suites for the short term stay market. As a small business entertaining large crowds, our mantra remains the same, high-quality service is our number one aim and priority. We provide guests with free parking onsite and free high speed internet (WiFi) too.

We had our wedding day 2 in the back of the Front Room in June of this year. We cannot recommend the place highly enough. Nigel and the staff were a dream to deal with in organising our space and also arranging food for us. Great pub, great quality drinks and amazing service.

This place is great. Cheap bed for the night 50 euro. Nice lady runs the place. The bar and beer garden are excellent. Nice staff. Excellent location 👏

What a cool place. So many different places to relax with your friends. Whether you like an open place to drink amongst others or if you prefer a secluded spot for your closest of lads. Whoever is responsible for designing the back garden deserves all the praise!

This is the coolest bar! Lovely friendly staff in this semi-traditional setting. The Front bar has plenty of tables and seats at the actual bar. Large selection of beers on tap as well as wines and spirits. TVs on (with sport of course) which means it isn’t quiet but you can still have a decent chat. Out the back are these very cool pods that can sit a group! Well worth a visit.
